Aliya Parcs
Aliya Parcs
was born and raised in The Netherlands to a Dutch father and a Filipino mother.
Aliya first sang in public at the age of four. When her parents decided to put up a business in the Philippines, it took a lot of convincing for her to come along. They finally settled in Bacolod City in 1998 and it was around this time a local ABS-CBN talent coordinator spotted her in a mall and offered her a hosting job.
More than her good looks and charisma, Aliya’s repertoire ranges from jazz to acid jazz, R & B, pop, alternative, and even old typical songs people can easily request. This stunning lady also has a passion for songwriting. She did the vocals, music, lyrics, and arrangement for the song entitled “Inner Strength (Keep the Faith)”, which is part of the album “Songs Inspired by the Movie ‘Crying Ladies’”. Aliya also wrote the song “Stop Think” which she collaborated on with commercial jingles composer Allan Feliciano. The same song became one of the ten finalists in the 2003 Himig Handog Love Songs Love the Second Time Around songwriting contest.
Celebrity guest Aliya Parcs answered, "I already admitted that I made out with him, that’s how far I’m gonna go…" when asked "Did you or did you not sleep with Jericho Rosales?" by Mojo Jojo in the Good Times segment "Forbidden Questions" in May 2007.
